Researchers at the University of Washington in Seattle have successfully used human stem cells to return heart function to macaque monkeys with heart failure. The hope is that this research may pave the way to restore heart function in humans suffering from heart failure as well. In this Living History of Physiology video, Dr. Pinshow talks about growing up in South Africa and his decision to move to Israel as a teen. He also discusses how he became interested in science, his research in desert biology and the influential people in his career. Very inspiring!
